MENS GOLF
Our men’s section offer a variety of weekday and weekend swindle groups – all of which are very welcoming to new members.
We regularly play both friendly matches and competitions against our neighbouring clubs, giving an opportunity to represent the club at different levels and enjoy the hospitality offered and meeting fellow golfers.
Tenterden Golf has always been, and continues to be a very friendly club, and has such a strong membership across all sections. This, along with a buzzing schedule of social and competitive events, means it is a thriving club for any player.
MENS CAPTAIN
Keith Steele
“ Having been a member of Tenterden for 30 years, it is a privilege and honour to be selected as Club Captain for 2025. My memories go back to when TGC was a small 9-hole course set amongst the trees and hills of the Kentish Weald. Today it has grown into one of the favourite courses in the area to play, not just by members of local clubs but by many visitors that enjoy the friendly atmosphere TGC has to offer. There is no doubt the course is a challenge, but there are now just as many challenges off the course as there is on. We at TGC recognise that we have to move with the times, and our various committees have recognised this and are accepting this new exciting challenge. Along with myself I can introduce you to our Ladies Captain CJ Willey, her Vice-Captain Mimi Anderson, our Seniors Captain Steve Bulless and my nominated Vice-Captain Roland Cooper. Both CJ and I have agreed to make Tenterden Social Hub our chosen charity for the year, and we shall all be working hard to support and raise money for this local charity which does so much good. Whenever you chose to play your golf, TGC has many swindle groups that play throughout the week which offers a great chance to introduce new members and to make friends with your fellow golfers. Please don’t hesitate to make your interest known, you can be sure of a warm welcome. We have a full programme of golf events playing in several leagues against local clubs. We have social events such as quizzes and BBQ’s, making most of the new balcony in the summer months. Whether you’re a member, a guest, or part of a group or society, I am always happy to accept some feedback, so please don’t hesitate to approach me, your views are always welcome. I hope you all have a great year on the course, leave your troubles behind and enjoy the fresh air and the exercise.”
